Security monitoring and response with escalation according to the playbook.
- 01THE PROBLEMAlerts nobody analyzes, purchased tools that are not operating, or no visibility into what is happening in the environment.
- 02WHO IT IS FOROrganizations that need continuous security monitoring without building their own operation.
- 03INTENDED OUTCOMERelevant signals analyzed, escalated and handled within agreed playbooks.
What changes for decision makers.
- FOR THECEORisk under control“An incident can halt operations and reach your customers.”Signals are seen and handled before they become a crisis; if it escalates, n.cirt readiness is already included.
- FOR THECFOSecurity without building a SOC“An in-house operation requires tools, licenses and specialists who are hard to retain.”Platform, licenses and analysts are part of the service, at a single cost, as contracted.
- FOR THECTONo security on-call for your team“The internal analyst is always torn between the alert and the project.”ness. security analysts handle triage and response; your team approves only what has impact.
- FOR THECISOVisibility and evidence“Alerts nobody analyzes and tools that are not running.”Correlation across identity, device, network and cloud, a trail for every case, and a monthly close with comparisons.
Where each alert ends up.
How alerts were distributed in a sample of operations from January to September 2026.
- 82%false positivesdismissed with analysis and record
- 13%issues handledfixed before becoming an incident
- 5%confirmed incidentsresponded to according to the playbook
Many signals, few cases, one decision.
Agents filter and correlate the signals. Specialists analyze what remains and respond according to the playbook.

Real time and monthly close.
The dashboard shows alerts, cases and vulnerabilities as they happen. Every month, a close compares the period with previous ones: what came in, what was handled, what changed. With n.infraops and n.secops together, ness.OS brings it all into a single panel.
How a signal becomes a decision.
Every stage leaves a record, so the response can be reviewed later.
- STAGE 01DetectWhich source generated the signal?
- STAGE 02CorrelateAre other signals linked to it?
- STAGE 03AnalyzeIs it an incident or a false positive?
- STAGE 04RespondWhat action does the playbook authorize?
- STAGE 05RecordWhat was done, by whom and when?
How this works in practice.
- Possible ransomware isolated
- SITUATION
- A computer showed behavior consistent with the start of an infection with ransomware potential.
- WHAT WE DID
- The event was handled according to the playbook: the device was isolated from the network, and the analysis and next steps remained under human supervision.
- RESULT
- No spread to other assets in the environment was observed.
- Executive credential used elsewhere
- SITUATION
- An executive's device went offline. At the same time, another device signed in with that executive's credentials and tried to contact the finance team.
- WHAT WE DID
- Correlating identity, device, time and location revealed impossible travel within the interval. The case was escalated, investigated, and containment was guided by the runbook.
- RESULT
- The misuse of the credentials was identified.
Response agreed before the problem.
The playbook is written with you. Nothing that affects availability or identity happens without a prior rule.
- PLAYBOOKAuthorized actionsAutomatic containment only with prior authorization.
- ESCALATIONWho is notified and whenContacts and deadlines by severity.
- COVERAGEHours in the contractMonitored sources and assets listed.
- TUNINGRules reviewedFalse positives reduced with each cycle.
- SERIOUS INCIDENTTriggering n.cirtCoordination when the case escalates.
- EVIDENCEA trail for every caseRecords available for audit.
Why ness.
- 01Tools includedThe platform and licenses belong to ness. and are part of the service. If you already use a tool and want to keep it, we connect it.
- 02Security analystsAnalysis and response are done by dedicated security analysts, not the help desk.
- 03Playbook before the problemWhat can be done without asking and what requires your approval is written down before any incident.
- 04Continuous vulnerability managementScanning, prioritization and remediation tracking are part of the service.
- 05n.cirt readinessIf an incident escalates, crisis command is already included: ness. recommends and coordinates; you decide.
- 06Evidence for auditsA trail for every case and a monthly close, based on CIS Controls v8.1, supporting ISO/IEC 27001 and LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law) audits.
Stages of the work.
- 01Integration of existing data sources
- 02Playbooks defined with the client
- 03Continuous monitoring and triage
- 04Escalation, response and reporting
What is included.
How we work with what you already have.
Agents filter, correlate and enrich alerts. Actions that affect availability or identity follow the playbook and a human decision. Serious incidents trigger n.cirt.
- 01Your teamDefines the playbook with ness. and approves actions with impact. No longer carries the security on-call.playbook, approval, decision
- 02The toolsThe monitoring platform and licenses belong to ness. Tools you already use and want to keep are connected.included in the service
- 03Third partiesSuppliers and carriers are engaged when a case requires it; ness. records and tracks.coordination and record

Two models, as set in the contract.
- MODEL 01Managed serviceA recurring monthly fee with platform, licenses and analysts included, with scope and service levels in the contract.
- MODEL 02Execution projectFixed scope, such as an entry assessment with a findings report based on CIS Controls v8.1.
What people usually ask us.
Do we need to buy tools?
No. The platform and licenses are part of the service. If you already use a tool and want to keep it, we connect it.
Do you monitor all the time?
The platform monitors all the time. Security analysts work during the hours defined in the contract.
Can you act without consulting us?
Only what is pre-authorized in the playbook, such as isolating a device or blocking access. Any action with operational impact requires your approval.
What if it is a serious incident?
n.cirt readiness is already included: crisis command steps in, recommends and coordinates; the decision is yours.
Do you do pentesting?
Pentesting is done by trustness., part of the NESS ecosystem. Continuous vulnerability management belongs to n.secops.
How does it start?
In about four weeks: source integration, tuning and an initial findings report based on CIS Controls v8.1.
